VOICE TEMPLE
Four evenings of guided group singing,
drenched in soul.
Part voice workshop.
Part group prayer through exploration, play, & collective voice.
Wednesdays · Nov 4, 11, 18 & Dec 2
6:30–8:30pm · Downtown Boulder
There is a particular magic that emerges when a group of people say yes to making time and space to sing together: to hone their instruments, enjoy the transmission, and to attune their listening to both music and silence.
There is a lot of noise in the world right now. Finding sacred ground is essential to staying centered. Voice and song are among the most ancient, powerful tools we have for reaching our innermost sanctuary.
Unclench your throat, belly, and chest… Feel the rumble and hum of your own expression moving through, and learn to work with this divine technology: your voice.
What We’ll Explore
We’ll explore vocal resonance and how to meet your voice on any day, wherever you are physically and emotionally. We’ll talk about vocal range; I’ll share practices to welcome into your life that strengthen your connection to your voice; and we’ll deepen into finding and holding melody and harmony, using song as the vehicle for exploration.
Songs
We’ll begin with shorter group songs that ask for deep listening, both to the inner world and to the world around us.
From there, we’ll move into Holy War, written and sung by Alicia Keys, with harmony parts arranged by me. This song becomes the vehicle and the lens through which we learn to infuse a song with our soulfulness and essence, honoring the uniqueness each of us carries while learning to blend our voices into one.
How We’ll Spend Each Evening
Arrive: A short somatic practice to land in our bodies
Tone: Group toning & open singing to tune us to one another
Warm up: Scales for resonance & power that you can carry home
Learn: Group songs, then Holy War, melody and harmony
Play: Solo options, riffing, and improvisation
Close: A celebration of improvised group harmony
This Is For You If…
You love to sing, and you’re longing for a space to sing with others that deepens how you understand and use your voice.
You want real learning: with your whole body and heart, not just your mind.
You can hold a melody. You’re not new to this rodeo.
You’re ready to hold harmony steadily, and to learn how to find it on your own.
You want to sing with more of yourself, in a room that feels truly safe and encouraging.
You want singing to be a form of prayer. Not showy, not performatively spiritual. The real kind.
This is the place for you.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
Singers often describe this work as deeply grounding, creatively awakening, and transformative — supporting not only vocal growth, but greater trust in their expression, artistry, and presence.
“Jessica holds a powerful, welcoming space for you to expand the depths of your embodiment and voice.
Parts of me that I hadn't previously felt came alive in our journey, waking up dormant archetypes through my voice. I have felt a growing confidence in bringing my voice through and an ability to let go of judgmental thoughts that keep my voice repressed.”
—KARLA P.
Songwriter, Ceremonial Guide, & Somatic Leader
EXPERIENCES FROM STUDENTS & ARTISTS
“I used to believe I “just couldn’t sing,” but under her gentle and wise guidance, I have come to know my voice as a living instrument with its own strengths, quirks, and beauty.
Her teachings are clear, nurturing, and deeply inspiring. Jessica is not only a gifted teacher and an excellent director, she is someone I truly trust and believe was born to do this work.”
—ASHA U.
Voice Student & Choir Member
“As I sang, a tingling sensation moved across my head and face—something I had never felt before, and I knew a shift was happening around and within me. I was reminded that we offer our voices as a gift for those who have not had, or do not currently have, a voice. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to use my voice in a way that creates a ripple of healing. Through song, we are collectively healing generations, and I’m so thankful to Jessica for holding and creating this liberating space.

Questions About How Jessica Works
-
No. I work with clients across many levels and backgrounds — from developing singers to experienced performers, recording artists, speakers, coaches, facilitators, and women seeking a deeper connection to their feminine expression through the voice.
What matters most is curiosity, commitment, and a desire to build a more connected, expressive, embodied, and reliable relationship with your voice.
Some clients come to refine technique and artistry. Others come to rebuild trust, confidence, authenticity, and emotional freedom in their expression. All are welcome here.
-
My work bridges technical vocal training with embodiment, emotional expression, nervous system awareness, and artistry.
Rather than pushing the voice through force or perfectionism, we focus on coordination, freedom, sustainability, and authentic expression. Technique becomes something you can trust under pressure — not something that disconnects you from yourself.
Sessions often include:
Vocal technique and exercises
Breath and resonance work
Artistry and interpretation
Emotional integration
performance presence
Rebuilding consistency and confidence
The goal is not just to “sound better,” but to develop a voice that feels grounded, expressive, and truly yours.
-
I primarily work with:
Singer-songwriters
Recording artists
Performers
Emerging and established vocalists
Creative professionals
Emotionally sensitive or highly expressive singers
Speakers, coaches, facilitators, and leaders seeking greater vocal presence, confidence, and authenticity
Women exploring deeper embodiment, expression, and connection through the voice
Many clients come to this work seeking both technical growth and a deeper sense of confidence, artistic identity, presence, and self-expression.
-
Yes — many of my clients come in after years of lessons, training, or performance experience and still feel:
Inconsistent
Tense
Disconnected from expression
Uncertain in certain parts of their range
Emotionally blocked while singing
Overly focused on “doing it right”
Often the missing piece isn’t more force or information — it’s integration.
We work to connect technique with embodiment, expression, and real-time coordination so the voice becomes more reliable, free, and responsive.
-
Strong technique creates freedom for artistry. Artistry gives meaning to technique.
Our work includes vocal mechanics and healthy coordination, while also supporting emotional authenticity, musical interpretation, confidence, presence, and personal expression. The goal is a voice that feels skilled, reliable, expressive, and alive.
-
Each session is tailored to the individual client and their goals.
Depending on your needs, sessions may include:
Vocal warmups and exercises, both traditional and somatic
Technical vocal refinement
Breath, resonance, and vocal presence work
Range, strength, and vocal freedom development
Song application, interpretation, or performance coaching
Speaking voice support for confidence, clarity, authenticity, and impact
Nervous system and performance support
Mindset, embodiment, and confidence work
Sessions are collaborative, supportive, and deeply personalized — designed to help you develop a voice that feels more connected, expressive, reliable, and fully your own.
-
Absolutely! Online sessions can be incredibly effective with the right guidance and attention.
I’ve worked successfully with hundreds of singers remotely across a wide range of goals, from technical development to performance preparation and artistic growth. Many clients are surprised by how much progress and nuance is possible in an online format.
-
You are not alone in that experience.
Many singers carry fear, self-consciousness, perfectionism, or frustration around their voice — especially after difficult experiences, criticism, burnout, or inconsistency.
This work is designed to help rebuild trust, connection, and safety within the voice while also developing real technical skill and resilience. We move at a pace that supports both growth and sustainability.
-
This work tends to be a strong fit for people who are:
Serious about growth
Open to exploration and practice
Interested in technique, authenticity, and artistry
Looking for depth and transformation rather than quick hacks
Desiring a more grounded, expressive, and sustainable relationship with their voice
You do not need to be perfect, highly experienced, or fully confident to begin. You simply need a willingness to engage honestly with your voice and creative process.
